The Bee Team

I've been doing a bee keeping course for the last couple of months with Deborah and Lynne who live in a nearby village.

It's not yet finished, but Lynne's mentor, Malcolm, got a call to re-home a swarm a few days ago and so suddenly Lynne has new bees!

Deborah and I were so excited to go along for the first hive inspection and help identify and mark the Queen today.  Malcolm was an amazing teacher, the bees were so calm that he wore nothing but a head veil and didn't use a smoker at all.
