I have ended up in ED again.
On Thursday night I hit my head on the edge of a old wooden CD in the garage when I looking for my slippers. I normally keep them in my bedroom but John had moved them into the garage. When it happened I thought not again. It was on my temple not the back of head this time. I still had a headache from the first bang. So didn't think too much of it. It wasn't until I was going to bed on Friday night when I took off my glasses I had burses around both eyes. I looked it up on Google and found out is can be a result of concussion. I phoned Health line and they rang an ambulance for me as they said two concussions in a short time can make the second one worse and with being on blood thinners I needed a CT as soon as possible.
Luckily the scan was okay. But while I was in ED my heart rate dropped and I passed out. So they were worried about that seeing I have a pacemaker. It happened the week before when I was at home but didn't pass out and was told if it happens again I need a pacemaker check.
I had to wait until 9 am the next day for the pacemaker check. They found it was set to high before the pacemaker takes over which caused it to drop suddenly as I am still in AF. They changed the settings and will check it again in a months time.
This photo was taken in the observation area where I stayed for a few hours because it was much quieter there. The concussion OT visited me there and gave me advice on what and not to do. Also she has put me on a waiting list to be seen at the concussion clinic. Said the wait shouldn't be to long.
I will not be looking at blip much for a while as I can't look at a screen for long. And I can't concentrate for long on anything. My brain sure doesn't want to work at the moment. Takes me ages to do anything.
