Love More

It was a busy day. Mr S went to the MetLive Opera at the movie theater downtown; it's a 10 am curtain. I met him and the rest of the opera group for lunch after I made a lemon cake for tomorrow's neighborhood MayDay party. We went on to an outdoor on-site presentation about the new library project that is to break ground soon. In spite of the free ice cream and bubbles for the kiddies, it feels like yet another monstrous building downtown, just one of (too) many simultaneous projects that are altering the skyline beyond recognition. I think this one is five stories and includes housing. Our final stop was the annual iris show--a collection of gorgeous covetable flowers that smelled delicious. I probably have enough irises to have my own show, but theirs all have pedigrees and have been artfully arranged, making me want to join the Iris Society and have another thing to obsess about. After such a late lunch, we made do with scraps for dinner and are contemplating watching another episode of Murder in Sweden.
