Relaxed day

My hope for a good sleep was thwarted by being very restless just after midnight and awake for a couple of hours. I was just about to drop off again when i heard banging noises from the kitchen. Henry was scratching at the door when i got downstairs so i took both boys back upstairs. Awoken again around 6 by Henry whining as there was a wasp behind the curtains which I managed to encourage out of the open window.

Mr PHL took the boys out for their morning constitutional to let me sleep in a little as a birthday treat. I finally surfaced around 10 and was greeted with some lovely roses, earrings and a card ‘signed’ by both dogs.

I took the boys back to Newbattle after a tasty eggs, smoked salmon and potato rosti breakfast and yes Phin was still interested in some of the flour piles but came away much more readily than yesterday.

Finally finished my pile of eyeballs ready to send off to my co-conspirator and am just about to head for a shower as we’re heading out for dinner later as a birthday treat.
