Not a good day

Up early for a golf competition, I played in the same comp last year and came 3rd, what a difference a year makes. I was paired with 2 Spanish ladies who both had handicaps of 38, which meant they had 2 shots on 16 holes and 3 shots on 2 holes and they only managed to score 7 points for the whole round, which is appalling.

I had a reasonable back nine, but lost the will to live playing the front nine. It´s difficult to concentrate when you are having to keep tabs on their scores as well as your own, creative accounting comes to mind.

It puts you off entering comps when you play with such people.

I didn´t even bother going back for the presentation, Roy and I went out for a quiet meal and a few drinks,.
