Croham Hurst colleagues…

Another reason why I’m so glad I take photos. This one was taken at a farewell evening in 2008 prior to the school closing and being merged with another larger school.

Today I had news that Brenda, in pink here, has died unexpectedly. A real shock for us. Our Head Teacher on the right in this photo is also no longer with us.

Brenda was a real character and had the nickname Barbie. She brought laughter to her colleagues and fun to her Nursery pupils. She went on to work in an all boys school where she continued to live up to her name.

I have heard from another colleague that Brenda had just retired. She will be so missed by her two sons and by her many friends. We will be meeting soon, to remember her.
