Butterflies of Brittany

Wow, the French are doing something seriously right with their countryside. The huge numbers of bees and butterflies in the garden of the Gite was just lovely. I have put the crowd pleasers on here but there were plenty of small skippers , varying whites and even a greenish one also - which I failed to snap.
There is a strong policy of wildflower borders to fields and not much huge agribusiness, more small farms. Whatever the reason, the insects are flourishing. The lavender and buddlea in my garden at home are deserted in comparison.
