Dog Eats Dog

When dog eats dog and every
human is divided and alone,
we may as well say goodbye
to the sun and the moon,
to the stars and the sky,
and to those we love.

Once dog eats dog
and we've all forgotten
how to live good lives
it's going to be unbearable.
It's already happening
but not everyone is rotten.

In fact, most people are great.
Just writing that line
makes me want to cheer.
Hip hip hurray. Three cheers
for the multitude who are great.
Three cheers for those who are kind,

who live and let live, who love,
who are not egotistical maniacs,
who don't seek to impose and divide.
Let's give them another three cheers.
