Purple French Sky

There's going to be a meteor shower tonight apparently, but thanks to the very pretty clouds that have gathered we're not going to see it.

Today has been glorious, with two long hacks out in the sun. This morning I rode Cirrus, an ex bull-fighting horse who was treated very badly by previous owners, but has unbelievably learned to trust people again (thanks to the amazing people here who have rehabilitated him).

Lunch and a short nap followed. Cirrus has lost a shoe so he is retired for today.

This afternoon, I rode Capitol, or as he is affectionately known, 'Ugly Boy'. He too has been mistreated in the past and has the scars to show it, hence the nick-name. He is eager to please, but harder to ride, so this afternoon was more difficult.

We had a dip in the pool to ease sore legs, then lazed about til dinner which was once again amazing. Prawn bisque, pork and veg, cheeses then sticky toffee pudding. I am going to be very fat if I stay here much longer!!
