Bluebells, Rockinghill Wood, Standen

I was surprised to come across so many recently felled trees in Rockinghill Wood on a visit to Standen this afternoon, but whilst I had been dozing in a deckchair a little earlier, Mrs Catpaw had read the Bluebell Walk leaflet that explained how the wood was being coppiced, partly to let more light into the understory to support the growth of the bluebell that carpet the woodland floor at this time of year.
