The Nest
This morning I sat outside in the sun for ninety minutes whilst a friend from our former village who is staying the week in Ross on Wye (Herefordshire, UK) popped in with her relative. They breed horses and her husband can't leave the farm in case of a foaling She's originally from Ross so we had a good catch up.
Granddaughter Amelia was back in school today after half term and we collected her for her weekly overnight stay. After a visit to the park with schoolfriends, we got home late afternoon.
She'd heard our nesting Tit has laid six eggs and five have hatched. We've a video nestbox that Mrs BB bought me as a Christmas present many years ago and we've watched many families nesting. The blipfoto shows Amelia watching the mum feeding the chicks. Great entertainment and one of the best presents I've had!
