Over the sea to Kerrera
Woke up to a reasonably warm morning, but by 9.30 the water was off - again, again!! Another burst water main - I’ve lost count of how many we’ve suffered in the last year! Because Scottish Water said it would be back on by 2pm they made it clear that they would not be delivering any bottled water. Huh!
u3a Creative Writing today - a friend picked me up soon after noon and we drove down to the Kerrera ferry slip at Gallanach, a mile or so out of Oban. My Blip today is of the ferry coming in, unusually with a vehicle on board.
Only four of us at the meeting today, but it was fun and I supplied the Mystery Object which we have ten minutes to write about. This time it was a woven rattle, made some years ago by my daughter. We then all read out the stories we had written - some interesting stuff!
We walked back down to catch the 3.30 ferry back to the mainland, but as it can only take a dozen folk at a time we had to wait for it to return.
Warm enough - just - to sit outside with a cuppa and a book when I got home!
