Relative Clarity

I was very surprised to find I could see turtles swimming under water. Although I did have to be quick, because as soon as they sensed my shadow, they were off into the depths.

Previously I have posted these painted turtles sitting on logs out of the water and many times I've seen heads poking out, but never have I seen them under water before. The water appears green and will no doubt get covered over in slime as the summer progresses, but for now it's clear enough to see the bottom.

Judicious use of the dehaze slider to compensate for my lack of a polariser.

Also photographed crane, mallard, kingfisher, heron and blackbird today.
