Green and Yellow

Today, I made my annual pilgrimage to the limekilns on East Lomond Hill, Fife.  The purpose was, as always, to find a small green butterfly and photograph it.

They were rather thin on the ground but I succeeded in my mission.

A green hairstreak, Callophrys rubi, on gorse.

I also encountered many orange-tips, many green-veined whites, and a single peacock.  Some will be found in my 'extras'

The first is a female orange-tip.
The second is a peacock.
