US Border

A quick snap of the border checkpoint, taken through the windshield as I entered no-man's land from the Mexican side.

It's not much of a picture but it's remarkable for what you can't see: other vehicles! We've waited up to 4 hours in line to get through this crossing. The shortest wait before this was about 20 minutes.

Today, we were the only vehicle there, and, although the agents were undoubtedly bored enough to have searched our truck just for something to do, they checked our passports and passed us straight through. I wish they sold lottery tickets at the border - I don't think I've ever been that lucky.

Home now, fantasy football draft tonight, then back to work tomorrow.
