At home: Trusting your mates..x

Murphy the jackapoodle is either the craziest dog I know or the most trusting. As a rule, he seems to throw himself into non dog like situations, perhaps copying his humans actions.

Jayne, his owner freshly back from her travels on a seaside family holiday, went straight into the field to reunite herself with her equine tribe. They surround her, as they greet each other standing still, grooming, scratching, rubbing each other in bonding satisfaction.

Murphy too, it appears to take part in the meeting and greeting. He adopts a submissive position, although we are all fully aware that a hoof may paw him into the ground at any point. Trust is an amazing thing, and I guess animals can be great teachers of it.

Murphy is down on the list to be a 'therapy dog'. That's an animal that can be taken to a vulnerable situation where he can help a person in need. Murphy is a good reader of people. He has endless patience and understanding. The horses must sense this as they do with human friends. Human friends are accepted into the herd, and so is little Murphy, it seems x
