Back on top
A few days ago I did this blip of the weathercock from the village church that had been removed for restoration. It's now back on top of the tower, and if you have very good eyesight can just about be made out in this picture. The church dates back to the 12th Century and is named after St Firmin, one of (I believe) only two such churches in England, and a monastery under that name is mentioned in the Domesday Book.
