friend or foe

It is calla lily time again in the creek that wends down the low side of our street.
Neighbour D gave me an armful today and very lovely they look in a blue glass vase backlit by the sun.
I know they are regarded as dastardly weeds by many but they are so beautiful and simple in form, it is hard to think of them as 'bad guys'.
