Last Communion

For those of you who don't know, I work for a church. Well a church project. We are at the beginning stages of trying to start a church, as you can tell by the formal communion that we serve... Communion is one of my jobs. I love it. I grew up in the Episcopal church and there is just something about the liturgy that moves me.

So I told the church today that I was taking my furlough a bit early. I cried. They cried. And then there were sweet prayers... Then all of the girls wanted to know if I was giving my clothes away. Which, of course, I am. They are racing to get here tomorrow for the goods. So funny.

That's about all that was funny about the day. David came in and it was wonderful to be with him and talk and cry a little and he has a magical way of even making the plan to leave fun. I have the most incredible friends in the world.

So here's communion. Last time. I loved every minute. Through tears.
