Everyone needs a hobby

Mine is currently imagining answers to the question 'How do I get things home?'

Today I found a reliable supply of strong cardboard boxes which are just the right size for about 2kg of clothing. And I discovered it's marginally cheaper to post 6 lots of 2kg by regular mail than one lot of 12kg by shipping company. And that's with conservative box size estimates, never mind realistic ones. So tomorrow I'll head back to uni to collect a few more boxes from the storage room I never knew existed but spent a lot of time in today and then at some point I'll have to fill them all with stuff and things and post the whole lot home.

I also popped into the post office with one of the boxes. I love a super friendly and helpful post office operative. The two of them in there today measured the box, checked all my options, thought of a couple of others, and then agreed that my plan is the most cost efficient.

But really, it's all just procrastination. I have my new toy - these luggage scales - and everything is just asking to be weighed. The panic should be setting in soon though - I have a draft due next week...
