Holiday # 5 Bright Bee Fantastic

Just a quick bee blip, I am so tired after helping out at our Holiday at Home all day :)

It was a very enjoyable day, and I think I will be doing more next year all being well!

We started with a get together for the volunteers followed by welcoming the visitors, and then carried on into coffees, teas and crafts (which is what I was involved with), nail bar, games, general chatter.

After lunch (salmon, potatoes, peas, cooked tomatoes, followed by fruit salad and coffee),we had a beetle drive Ship drive...basically follow the beetle drive procedure but draw parts of the ship instead :) It was great fun moving up and down to different tables.

The finale was tea and coffee with cup cakes (handmade by one of my friend's daughters ~ apparently it took all morning for her to make 70 odd cakes, well done to Ella)

I will endeavour to catch up with your journals now, please forgive me if I don't get to your's as I'm really worn out!

Thankfully tomorrow is a quieter day. I just have to do some serious tidying, so a friend can get to my loft hatch in the bedroom tomorrow evening and take down what I have there (which isn't a lot). I need it clear so that another friend can store stuff from their children's camp (at the weekend) for a year (she asked for volunteers and I offered) :)

In other news, is it me or is it colder today? I just can't warm up and I'm considering having soup and bread for tea!
