Sun is shining, surrounded by black!

Just about sums the day up really, it's been pretty good with a morning drive to the garage to drop the Rover off, walk back with Jonty and do some jobs around the place. Baked a cake, painted a couple of wicker chairs, watered the tomatoes.
Then came the call - Rover 25 coil and cables need replacing - £300.00 worth.
A few hours later another call - engine still misfiring, head to come off and then whatever they find. The bill could be around £1,000.00! (hopefully not but that's worse case). Is it worth it, well that's debatable of course but I think the idea is to get it fixed and keep it going for another year or two and then sell it on unless something else major happens in the meantime. The bill is just about what the car is currently worth, 10 years old.
We only need the Rover for the Grandchildren really but if they start using their bikes for school I reckon the Rover could be sold off earlier.
