Cinnabar Moth Caterpillar
I found this trundling across the path towards my courgette plants today. They usually eat Ragwort, so I went into the field to see whether any of the Ragwort was still there. All that was left was some plants stripped of all their foliage, and a few manky-looking caterpillars searching for grub. I know it was a bit mean, but after I had taken a shot of it, I put it back in the field, away from my lovely courgettes, just in case it had decided they might be just the thing for hungry caterpillars.
