A bird in my hand....

is a fledgling I found on the front lawn this afternoon. I'm not sure if it's a swallow, a housemartin or swift.

I was in two minds whether to call SSPCA or just wait and see. I moved it to a less visible area and went out to walk Rocket and Radar. By the time I got home, it had gone. Hope that was the right thing to do.

Claire's first day back to school was a success, but I think it took it out of her.

She went to bed when she got home and at quarter to eight is still fast asleep.
