almost empty plate

Sadly!? today is the last babysitting day before the schools go back tomorrow. Eve and James arrived this morning armed to the gunnels with all sorts of toys. First we had the whole cast of Toy Story - Woody, Jesse, Bullseye, BuzzLightyear etc, who performed an excellent adventure for our entertainment, although it is alarming at times how life-like some of these characters' voices can be.

After lunch we had a baking session where we made a "lemon sponge drop" dessert. James' contribution is always to crack the eggs and Eve's is to help stir the mixture - so that she ends up with a spoon to lick.

When the dessert was eaten (almost finished), James said "Gran, I didn't really like that". That made me laugh and will give me something to think about in the weeks ahead when I'm recovering from the hols.
