Meadow Lane - Notts County FC - £140

...the Pall Mall of the original monopoly! and with very kind staff on reception who allowed me pitch side to take this shot, a total bargain for £140!

As it says on the Jimmy Sirrel stand, they are the oldest football league club, formed in 1862. Another amazing fact is that Juventus FC derived its famous black and white striped shirts from Notts County, a mutual admiration marked with matches at each others grounds in 2011 and 2012. personally, until today i've never visited Meadow Lane....always the other side of the Trent for me!

so, yes, i gained access to the pitch side, after emailing the Notts County office. popped down in my lunch hour to take this, just as the first team were arriving for their afternoon gym sessions (1/2 hour session)....and as i left the building i smiled as i heard one of the players moaning....'i live furthest away and yet i'm on the late gym session....' oh well, i'm sure that's a small price to pay for doing something you love week in week out....

a good day at work, starting and ending with walks with Pete...this morning being short and this evening being a long one. Pete nicely whacked now, and not tearing up my lawn as he has done the two previous evenings!
