Matriarchs

Hubby and I are very fortunate in that we both still have our mothers. Today's blip is of two shots taken at Hannah and Ed's wedding at the end of June. They are formidable ladies these two women and I love and admire them greatly They have a lot in common. They are both widows, their men having predeceased them many years ago; they both reared four children, who have given them numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; fiercely independent, not slow in giving forth an opinion, and skilled at keeping their extended families together. Matriarchs indeed, and don't they both look fabulous in their glad tags on this extra-special day!
