Nailing my colours to the mast a day late?

This young robin has been coming to my bird table to feed for days, so I kind of feel he belongs to me!
And I think we would all feel he is quite cute and adorable.
So what would you think if I got some of my pals together ,and blew some whistles and waved lots of flags till he was scared out of his wits and decided to fly away!
And then one of us shot him!
Would that be ok....after all he is on my property and is mine!
Well; thats what happened yesterday up and down the country!
Granted ,it wasn't young robins ,but young grouse!
And the men in tweeds were hunter gatherers ,only out to give their children a mouthful to eat!
Weren't they??
So it must be ok!
