Whoops - Missed it!

Those darn Perseid meteors are a right shower, and very hard to capture. This was a miserable attempt, but I guess I got a few stars and saw a few rapidly traversing satellites. I did actually see 4 meteors which were quite spectacular, but was not fast enough or patient enough to capture them on camera.

The night sky is pretty awesome out there - and very clear in the back garden tonight. Apparently you can see the Northern Lights up in the Cheviots and near Alnwick - as captured by some very good photographers featured on BBC Look North.

One day....or one night!
