Cattle in creek bed.
Back blipping the last 3 days, as been out of range, and hadn't got around do doing them.
Packed up and departed, and just down the hill there was a trailer-sailer still attached to the car that had been towing it. But they must have been very lucky not to have rolled completely over. We stopped to check that there wasn't anyone in it, before continuing on our way. We had seen the people up at the camp site, one person sitting in a chair reading, as we left. They had a big pile of gear (beddding etc) there too. PJ commented that he thought they had been sleeping in the boat, then taking the stuff out during the day to go out on the lake. I think their fishing & maybe travels might have been put on hold for a while.
The country is getting very dry up here, looks like very little feed for the cattle. Saw a few gum trees along one part of the road, with about 10 – 15 Black Cockatoo's in them. (the one with bits of red on their tails) But thought we would see more later on. Ha!
The photo was taken out the car window, as we crossed a (dry) creek ford. This was only one of the few creeks that had any water in it.
We stopped at Ravenwood, a historic goldmining town, maybe we should have stayed the night and had a good look around. Not a lot left, but a few lovely old buildings.
We are at a camping / caravan park at a little place called Bluewater, just north of Townsville. But about 10 km from the place called Bluewater Beach, that I that this place was when I booked us in..... Blast!!
