Rusty rock

Had a walk to the "north gare" which is a pier at the north entrance to the tees , it is made up mostly of slag from the neighbouring steelworks that was also used to reclaim a lot of land . In the background are concrete blocks left after the 2nd world war when a beach invasion was feared.
