Flat battery!

After not using the car for 3 months, the battery was flat as a pancake - I could not even open the doors! Last time I checked, not that long ago, everything seemed OK. After charging for a short while. I was able to start the engine, though the alarm kept going off, so I need to spend some time tomorrow sorting things out.
