Dovecote at Bazoges en Pareds
This amazing building is the dovecote at the Castle in Bazoges, a medieval village near us. Each square represented a hectare of the Seignur's lands, and when he sold some land, the corresponding number of holes were blocked up.
Spent a happy hour climbing the keep and wandering around the gardens. This was after lovely lunch at a local hostelry. Then more swimming, now home for a cheeky pizza and a glass or two of wine. Tomorrow we move base to stay with Leila and Dicon.
