Showering Dove

It was absolutely chucking it down earlier today and I still hadn't done my Blip! Late again!
Then we had visitors at the feeding station? I had a choice of Jackdaw,Magpie or Collared Doves?
I took a number of shots of each and then one of the Doves started to raise her wings in turn,into the driving rain.It then became apparent that she was soaking the undersides of her wings.And by the look on her face,she was in ecstasy.
It is something we take for granted when we take shower to be able to wash under our arms.But quite a privilege for our feathered friends. lol
