We have a night time visitor
This morning we discovered that over night something had attacked this fat ball holder. You will see that the lower feeding hole has been enlarged to twice its size.
Our first suspect was the woodpecker who we see feeding here quite often but on closer examination, and the damage caused, the weight of evidence shifted to a squirrel.
We have seen one in the garden occasionally but long suspected that we are visited when we are out, as Jinxy always goes whizzing around after we get back.
The feeder is getting old and the wood has become soft so we are convinced that the contents of the feeder will soon be gone!
