the red light caught my eye on my way home from work - I must have passed this pub hundreds of times (though it's a while since I last went in). It was bright outside, but this is a winter pub, drinkers huddled tightly together in the crepuscular gloom. It's most famous for being a haunt of Tolkien and C.S. Lewis and, who knows, maybe they're still there, nursing a warm beer in their favourite snug.
