Cheese face!

This is Bear's Cheeeeeeese face :) It makes me laugh every time!

This morning (well, lunchtime) mum and I and the boys headed out on a mission to find a load of other Worthing babywearers. Bean rode his bike, Bear was wrapped up on me, and mum pulled the trolley. But I (as usual) got muddled between the leisure centre and the swimming pool (in my home town they are one and the same and I'm still not used to them being in totally different parts of town here) and we ended up at Splash Point, at the beautiful sandy playpark there. Which Bean and Bear LOVED anyway. Bean made a handful of new friends and probably could have spent the entire day there. To be honest I could have probably spent the entire day there if I hadn't been in such need of a wee and some food!! Steve picked us up and we headed off to Steyning as I'd been looking forward to an afternoon walking the Lower Horseshoe and possibly foraging for woodland goodies. Of course we found nothing: I need to brush up on my wild plant recognition. But we had some rather fabulous food at the Sussex Produce Company's cafe, and it was good to bump into Nick again as we were leaving!

When we lived in Steyning I had dreams of taking my (many) children around the Horseshoe on regular walks, letting them run and explore and generally getting out into Nature more. Today was pretty stressful even with three adults and made me realise that I need to get them outdoors on nature walks more often, and learn to wear suitable clothing and footwear! Oh and try not to hypo either.

We finished off the day in the park at Fletcher's Croft where Bean showed off his monkeying skills, and Bear spent a happy while driving the tractor climbing frame. And then home, via a takeaway for chicken and chips before the boys very happily went to bed.

Ahhhhh.

And I've had my first proper "I'm going to really really really miss this house if we move" wobble.
