What's worse than a slug in your salad?

Finding half a slug in your salad!

I was taking the last of the spuds up, to make room for more leeks and some kale and purple sprouting broccoli. Priding myself on the unusually slug-free state of the spuds ... Then I found it.

I've tried to maintain scale because I could not believe the little bugger got into such a small hole.

For any-one remotely interested: Slugs, apparently, do have a reverse gear, coz I didn't remove it, just left out of idle curiosity / scientific interest.
