Golden Silk Orbweaver

Nephila clavipes

I saw this spider outside a classroom window this morning! It is huge! (about the size of my palm). Luckily, he is out of the way of students, so we will watch her from inside! Hopefully, we will watch her eggs sac hatch out and see little spiders.

The spider is known locally as a Banana Spider.
