No fun allowed here...

Oxford City council and Ping have joined up to provide ping pong tables across the city for all to enjoy. Building upon the good feeling of the Olympics and with a mission to bring the community together, these tables are dotted around with bats and balls available for anyone to enjoy any time of the day. The tables are looked after by volunteers or organisations where they are hosted.

The John Radcliffe hospital has had two of these tables provided and they are set in a green space used by people both from the hospital and the nearby community. Like so many occasions when the NHS is entrusted with something gifted to them for the whole community (add in as many political comparisons as you wish at this point), they restrict access, make up rules that are beyond belief and self serving.

Sport for all? Not in a place designed to promote health...
