Cat on a hot shed roof

The owners of this cat and its sibling moved away from the drive a couple of years ago and we all cheered - especially Nick, our gardener, as they use our newly raked borders as their personal toilets.

They are anything but house cats and are left out night and day in the worst weather - why keep pets if you are not going to treat them as such?

Then they family moved back a couple of months ago and we all groaned - their habits have not improved and they still use any possible opportunity to enter any house with an open door or window - this can be very un-nerving if you don't notice their entrance and then hear them or come across them unexpectedly. How they have escaped the wrath of the neighbourhood is actually some surprise.

Any ideas on how to discourage this behaviour would be most welcome.
