Take time to smell the lily . . .

Super busy day but sooooooo positive in lots of ways. We have some absolutely awesome young men and women at school, many of whom I would be very happy to have been the mother of!

It was our senior subject selection expo day today - the day when all subjects get to promote themselves whilst giving information to students about their course content, assessments, credit value and entry requirements, all in an attempt to help students make good choices about their subject choices for next year. Had some great discussions with a good number of students and finished feeling very positive about both the direction our subject is heading and the number and quality of students who expressed some interest in either continuing or picking up our subject.

Had a lovely surprise too - a boquet of flowers delivered to work - a 'thankyou' for some additional and urgent work I had to do last night on the netball draw I was working on recently. Thanks M :) You're a sweetie :)
