The Dancing Ledges
An hours drive in the coastal mists brought us to the quaint village of Worth Matravers on the Isle of Purbeck (It isn't really an island). This is a bit of the coast we have not explored but have wanted to come to since our last visit. The Dancing Ledges have been formed by quarrying and the action of the sea. There are plenty of big red warning signs advising not to venture onto the ledges for fear of being taken by a large wave. It was nearly high tide and not worth venturing out onto the lower ledges for fear of being swept away by an unsuspecting big one.
