Beach Blues

Drove to Turkeys most beautiful beach today, Oludeniz. Located on a spit of white sand with a lagoon on one side and the sea on the other.

It would have been gorgeous I'm sure if most of the rest of Turkey's holidaymakers weren't there on the same day!

Shouldn't have been surprised really but it was too crowded, expensive and hot - so we didn't stay long despite having spent a fortune parking and renting sun beds.

Went instead to the deserted town of Kaya Koyu - abandoned in 1923 when there was an exchange of populations between Greek and Turkey. Stunning but a little spooky.
