The perfect tool for the job

Is it any wonder that pollen sticks so well to the back legs of bumble bees?

He was found in the mulch while I was watering the garden this evening...believed to be fully expired. I would have been able to manoeuver and manipulate him so much better if I had the guts to stick him on a pin and prop him up but I couldn't get myself to do it. What if he was crunchy and the pin wouldn't just go in easily or worse, if he wasn't completely dead?

So I made do with just laying him on a piece of paper and twirling him around to get the best angle and admire his furriness.
