Threading the Needle
One of my regular detours on the homeward leg of my commute. A bit overgrown looking just now, but not as bad as maybe it looks in this shot, and I'm sure in a few weeks will begin to open back up again as the greenery starts to turn.
It's still part of National Cycle Network's 'Around the Forth' route 76, but a lot less tarmacy and a bit more jaggy nettly than most sections, and all the better for it in my opinion. No running the gauntlet with rush hour traffic and with a good chance of seeing some wildlife around the wetland nature reserve it passes through, the biggest risk down here is having some bug fly down your oesophagus.
Perfect.
