Goodbye Frank!
This afternoon it was the funeral of my friends father.
4 months ago he was diagnosed with Motor Neuron disease.
He died on Friday.
His service was very touching and very close to my heart as Frank, like my father was a true Gentleman and many of the praises made about him were so very similar to those made about Dad when he died.
He lived a full life and was involved in many (and varied) hobbies and pastimes as well as the church.
One of the things he was heavily involved with was the Riley owners club and he acted as chauffeur to all of his granddaughters on their wedding days - an honour he also afforded to Bags and I (Bags always considered Frank a surrogate Grandfather) using his beloved 1934 Riley ........ very similar to the one above.
His widow was very touched when quite a few of the members attended the funeral in their cars ............ some shots of them are HERE
He will be sadly missed.
