Lifeboat day 2013

Its been a manic day today. It is St Ives Lifeboat day so as treasurer Ive been counting money all day, then I went to the theatre for another performance of Les Mis and as we were about to start the lifeboat pager went off !.

The poor crew (who started today at 7am) were just about to go to the pub 12 hours later when this happened :(

Still, we raised £6,800 by 5pm with lots of further bits and bobs still to count so it was worth it.

The picture is the lifeboat exercising with the search and Rescue helicopter form RNAS Culdrose (HMS Seahawk) . I liked this shot as, If you go large, you can see the heat haze from the exhausts blurring the background.
