Desert

The road from Las Vegas west isn't quite as empty as the road we drove south to get there.

But nearly.

My spirits were so lifted when we reached Ventura and saw the ocean again, that I was sure one of the pictures of the Pacific would be The One For Today.

This one, however, is like a photo of Arizona - by Ansell Adams I think - that I have as a print. There's something so small about the man-made elements in the landscape, against the huge sky.
