Freaky Friday

Actually got very scared today when the earthquake hit Wellington at 2.30pm. I've felt a lot over the years but this was horrible, 15 floors up swaying all over the place. Dived under the desk and when we evacuated, I was shocked to the amount of cracks in the stairwell as we went down. Some of the lower levels had a fair bit of damage. In my rush to gather my bits and pieces, I left my cycling shoes under the desk so I looked weird (moreso than usual) in my lycra and dress shoes when I stopped briefly at Oriental Parade on the way home. Family is all safe, the house undamaged - just a couple of edgy felines.
